Product Description
Although its premise of three men, three women and their interconnected lives and loves may mark the show as a copy based on an American template, Cold Feet has slowly but surely developed into a masterpiece of its own. The third series delivers more of the same, but the script is so perfectly written and delivered that it feels like they could continue running with the same premise indefinitely and no one would mind. The performances are, as ever, sublime--particularly the trio of James Nesbitt, John Thomson and Fay Ripley--and the humour is relaxed and unhurried, leaving room for large amounts of drama. With this series seeing dramatic plot lines being developed for all six characters there is also a fair amount of suspense (the story of Rachel and Adam's wedding will have you on the edge of your seat) and the writers are in no rush to wrap things up, merely leaving you agog for the developments in Series Four. Newcomers to Cold Feet should not worry about joining the show late, as they will quickly fall into step with the ins and outs of this group of British friends. On the DVD: With eight episodes split over two discs, there is little room for any substantial extras. The scene selection process is clear and concise and there is a rather pointless photo gallery. The standard behind the scenes footage is brief but certainly entertaining, not least the material surrounding the cast's location shoot in Nesbitt's home town in Northern Ireland--including a memorable drunken ride in a police wagon.--Phil Udell ....read more £5.00 £24.99 Average Customer Rating

ages like good old wine and moved me to tears
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Always been a fan of English drama series, so much more refined than its American equivalents. Saw the entire series again last weekend after some years and was moved to tears looking frequently in the mirror of my recent past. Absolutely top acting performances with caracters written so unbelievely well. It doesn’t get any better than this… Not for many, many years to come.
FANTASTIC
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I had never come accross this series and it just gets better and better, My wife and I were glued to the screen through all 10 or so DVD’s we rented !
cold feet work of art!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
what a work of art. whenever i get homesick i watch this. thankyou to all the cast and what a shame they only did 5 series! and how i cried as Rachel’s ghost got into the taxi in the last episode…………………..
Prepare to spend hours in fron of the TV!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I knew I liked this series when I bought it, I only found out how much after sitting through all 5 series. There is a good mix of comedy, realism (well almost) and some great surreal ‘out-take’ moments.
Forget ‘Freinds’ unplug the phone relax and enjoy!
Better every episode of every series!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Cant beleive this series is finally at an end! when i finally got round to watching the whole five series from beginning to end i realised what a masterpiece the british have created! Like friends it has the perfect set up of three girls and three boys whose love lives and paths are inextricably linked, and yet whose personalities are amusingly varied – however to think of it as just this is to have missed the next four series where it all gets far more dramatic, funny, sad, and emotionally complex!
Cold feet – Warm heart
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The whole series was totally unmissable from start to finish. The characters lives unravel like your favourite woolly jumper, and you can’t help but get caught up in the snags that are left behind. Each series has become more dramatic and entangled. However the comedy is still the most endearing quality of the series, as there has not been a drama as well – written and as well – acted as this one. An excellent DVD for all fans of the series.
Cold Feet goes from strength to strength
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
A British (but far more intelligent) version of Friends, this programme just gets better. The writing remains its key strength, but the acting & directing are also first class. It’s not only funny (in a low key, non-wisecracking way), it’s also credible.
Still entertaining – but starting to feel a bit tired
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Its hard not to still enjoy this series. There are plenty of genuinely funny, touching moments. But sometimes, and slightly too often, one gets a slight feeling of having been there before. I enjoyed series’s 1 and 2 much more.
Outstanding, but I miss Fay Ripley, a great character!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I haven’t missed a programme. Absolutely first class, partly because all the characters are so different, but nevertheless have managed to blend together in an attractive and interesting manner. When do we see it again?
Great series
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Cold feet is certainly one of the most entertaining series in a long time. Series 1 was magnificent, series 2 was great and series 3 you must watch if you’ve watched the others but it certainly is not of the same entertainment value as one is. A must watch but not as good as series 1 i’m afraid.
Definitely one of the funniest series for years
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
There aren’t many programmes which make me laugh out loud but I did many times watching this fantastic series. Set in my home town of Manchester the 3rd series about 6 friends is definitely not one to be missed. It’s one of those rare programmes which is still funny however many times you watch it – a must buy.
Mike Bullen continues his superb series
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Season three of “Cold Feet” is, like the previous seasons, a hilarious romp through the lives of what are now very familiar and beloved faces. Mike Bullen continues his witty, insightful, and often deeply affecting riff on relationships. New facets of each character come to light in this series – strangely enough, it is Adam who, although as funny and likeable as ever, displays the other side of his penchant for making fun of others – and that is his lack of sympathy, both for David and Pete. David, although still unapproachable in some ways, becomes more understandable when he discovers he is not quite as strong as he thinks. However, it is Pete who really shines with his own particular brand of loyalty as he sticks by his friends though thick and thin, whilst weathering the fallout from his actions in the previous year. Jenny explores a newfound freedom, with consequences that are not quite as she expects, whilst in some ways, Karen and Rachel are relegated to supporting roles in these six episodes.
Series Three builds up in a more satifying manner than the previous series, as the events from both the past and the present culminate in a season finale that is both expected and unexpected, but still devastatingly precise with its exposition of the human heart and what makes us tick.
An unqualified recommendation from this reviewer, as Cold Feet continues to go from strength to strength.
